Fence Washing for Wood, Vinyl & Composite

Starting at $150 +tax A fence takes more weather than almost anything else on your property — full sun on one side, shade and standing moisture on the other, and no roofline to protect it. Over a year or two that shows up as gray, faded wood, mildew streaks, and moss creeping up from the ground line.

We wash fences for homeowners across Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish, and Mercer Island — wood, vinyl, composite, and brick or masonry — using pressure that's gentle enough not to splinter wood or strip paint, but strong enough to actually lift mildew and weathering instead of just rinsing the surface.

What's included

  1. Walk the fence line. We note gate hardware, vegetation overgrowth, and which side(s) need cleaning.
  2. Low-to-moderate pressure wash. Enough to lift mildew and gray weathering without splintering wood or stripping paint.
  3. Both sides if needed. Shared fences get equal treatment on both faces when you add double-sided cleaning.
  4. Gate hardware tune-up. Sticking hinges and latches get a free tune-up while we're there.

Worth knowing: Fencing that's already rotting, loose, or peeling can be more exposed by even a gentle wash — water finds the weak spots first. We'll flag anything that looks structurally shaky before we start.

Why fences weather so fast here

Because a fence has no overhang to shed water and often sits right against grass, mulch, or landscaping, it stays damp longer than almost any other exterior surface on your property — prime conditions for mildew and moss in our climate. Wood fencing is especially vulnerable: once mildew sets into the grain, it accelerates the wood's natural graying and breakdown. Washing regularly slows that process and keeps a stain or sealant job (if you get one) looking better for longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will pressure washing damage my wood fence?

Not with the right pressure. We use low-to-moderate pressure on wood fencing — enough to lift dirt, mildew, and gray weathering without gouging the wood or stripping paint.

Can you clean both sides of a shared fence?

Yes — add double-sided cleaning to your quote and we'll wash both faces, which is worth coordinating with a neighbor if you share the fence line.

What if my fence has vines or overgrowth on it?

Let us know when you request your quote. Vegetation overgrowth is a common add-on, and clearing it is part of getting the fence properly clean, not just an obstacle around it.

Do you fix broken gate hardware?

A basic hinge and latch tune-up is included free with fence washing. More involved repairs are outside our scope, but we'll flag anything that needs attention.
